Scope

Applied AI is the group between a strategy slide and a platform. They pick a workflow, work with the people who own it, and deliver a system those people keep using after the pilot.

Required experience

Has delivered AI inside a real operation: support, finance, sales, supply, or a product surface. Has been measured on adoption, not on a demo. Can work with a function leader who is not technical.

Interview focus

Ask which pilot they shut down, how the operator's job changed, and what they measured at 90 days.

Sample job description

Report to the Chief AI Officer. Choose the workflows worth automating. Pair with the function that owns each one. Ship a system people use, and stop the work that only looks good in a review.
