Owns the power, cooling, and capacity plan behind the company's AI buildout.
This role is about the buildings and the megawatts, not the model architecture. They plan sites, power, cooling, and the vendors who deliver them, on a timeline the AI roadmap can survive. They sit with the CTO or the COO because the constraint is often physical, not algorithmic.
Has delivered data center capacity, power projects, or large infrastructure programs. Has worked with a technical leader who needed capacity on a date. Understands why an AI training plan slips when the site is late.
Ask about a site that slipped, how they chose a location, and how they told a technical team the power would not be there.
Own the AI capacity plan. Choose sites and partners. Keep power, cooling, and delivery dates visible to the CTO or COO. Hire the program leaders who can open capacity when the models need it.
